Below you will find our Terms and Conditions. These always apply when you use the Puzzled app or take part in a Panique Labs event. Please read them carefully.

Definitions
- Panique Labs
- The organisation that develops, organises, and facilitates puzzle events and the related Puzzled app, both digitally via the Puzzled app and physically on location.
- User
- Any natural person who creates an account in the Puzzled app or takes part in an event.
- App
- The Puzzled app in which accounts are managed, tickets are purchased, results are viewed, and certificates are issued.
- Event
- Any activity, competition, training, or gathering organised by Panique Labs, whether online or on location.
- Agreement
- The agreement between Panique Labs and the user, formed by registering in the app, purchasing tickets, or taking part in an event.
- Venue partner
- External parties that make spaces available for events.
- Organisation
- An organisation that uses the Puzzled app to run events and that a user can join as a member via the app.
- Content
- All puzzles, software, designs, texts, images, scores, certificates, and other materials offered by Panique Labs.

Applicability
These terms apply to:
- use of the Puzzled app;
- creating and managing accounts;
- purchasing tickets and taking part in events;
- all services and products offered by Panique Labs.
By creating an account, buying a ticket, or taking part in an event, the user agrees to these terms.

Account registration and use
- Users must provide correct and up-to-date details when registering.
- The account is personal and may not be transferred.
- Panique Labs may temporarily or permanently block an account in case of abuse, fraud, inappropriate behaviour, disruption of events, or breach of these terms.
- The user is responsible for keeping login details secure.
- Panique Labs is not liable for damage caused by unauthorised use of an account.
- Panique Labs may require additional verification (for example email confirmation) to prevent abuse.
- You can delete your account at any time via ‘Log out and delete account’ in the app.

Services within the app
The Puzzled app offers among other things:
- Account registration and management
- Event registration
- Purchase of event tickets
- Team management and linking of participants
- Access to results and rankings
- Receipt of certificates
- Communication about updates, changes, and event information
Panique Labs reserves the right to change, expand, or remove features. The app is provided as is.

Ticket sales, prices, and payments
- All prices are clearly shown in the app.
- Payments are made via the offered payment methods.
- A registration is final once payment is completed.
- Cancellation by the user is only possible if this is explicitly stated for the event.
- Panique Labs may move or cancel an event in case of force majeure. In that case a suitable alternative or refund is offered.
- Panique Labs is not responsible for errors in payment processes of external providers.

Participation in events
- Participants must follow the instructions of Panique Labs and the venue.
- Panique Labs may refuse or remove participants in case of inappropriate behaviour, dangerous situations, or breach of rules.
- Participation is at your own risk.
- Panique Labs is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings.
- Participants must arrive on time; arriving late may lead to exclusion without a refund.
- Panique Labs reserves the right to adjust the format, duration, or content of an event if needed.

Competition rules, results, and certificates
- Panique Labs sets the official competition rules and may change them if needed.
- The competition rules of each event are published on the website.
- The results shown in the app are leading.
- In case of technical issues or ambiguity, Panique Labs reserves the right to correct results.
- Certificates are issued digitally via the app and have no official legal status.
- Panique Labs may remove results in case of abuse or irregularities.

Use of entry fees
8.1 Use of entry fees
All entry fees paid by participants via the Puzzled app or other sales channels are used for organising and running puzzle events. This includes among other things:
- Purchase of puzzles and competition materials
- Venue hire and location costs
- Facilities such as tables, chairs, lighting, and sound equipment
- Digital support via the Puzzled app, including results and certificate issuance
- Insurance, safety measures, and operational costs
- Administrative costs directly related to the event
8.2 Transparency
Panique Labs aims for transparency in how entry fees are spent. Panique Labs does not use entry fees for external commercial purposes that have no direct relation to organising events.
8.3 No profit component within entry fees
Entry fees are not used as a profit component; any surplus is used to improve future events, such as:
- improving puzzle quality;
- expanding materials;
- optimising app functionality;
- increasing participant comfort on location.

Use of imagery
- During events, Panique Labs may take photos and videos for promotional purposes.
- Users may object via the privacy policy.
- Panique Labs will not use images that are harmful or inappropriate for the participant.
- Imagery remains the property of Panique Labs.

Intellectual property
- All content, software, designs, puzzle concepts, and materials of Panique Labs are protected by intellectual property rights.
- Copying, distributing, or using them commercially without written permission is not allowed.
- Abuse of intellectual property may lead to legal action.

Liability
- Panique Labs is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, lost profit, or immaterial damage.
- Panique Labs is not liable for damage caused by incorrect use of the app or failure to follow instructions during events.
- Total liability is always limited to the amount the user paid for the relevant event or service.
- Panique Labs is not liable for damage caused by third parties, such as venue partners or payment providers.
- Panique Labs is not liable for errors, interruptions, or loss of data in the app.

Safety and house rules on location
- Participants must follow safety instructions and house rules of the venue.
- Panique Labs may remove participants if safety rules are breached.

Technical availability
- Panique Labs aims for optimal availability of the app, but cannot guarantee it.
- In case of outages, maintenance, or updates, the app may temporarily be unavailable.
- Panique Labs is not liable for damage caused by technical problems, delays, or data loss.

Privacy and data processing
- Panique Labs processes personal data in accordance with applicable law.
- Data is used for account management, registrations, communication, certificates, and results.
- We process among other things name, email, date of birth, and nationality so the app can function and so we can show your results. An address is required to purchase tickets. A phone number is optional.
- When you join an organisation via the app, you share with that organisation your name, email address, and nationality. If filled in, you also share your phone number and date of birth. Your address is not shared when you join an organisation. An address is only shared when needed for a purchase or payment with that organisation.
- Panique Labs does not share data with other third parties unless necessary to perform services or required by law.

Force majeure
In circumstances beyond the control of Panique Labs (such as illness, technical outages, venue problems, extreme weather) an event may be adjusted, moved, or cancelled.

Complaints procedure
- Complaints can be submitted via the contact form on the website.
- Panique Labs aims to handle complaints within 14 days.
- If a complaint cannot be resolved, the user may turn to an independent dispute body.

Changes to the terms
- Panique Labs may change these terms.
- The most recent version is always available via the website and the app.
- Users will be informed of material changes.
- By continuing to use the app or take part in events, you agree to any changes.

Applicable law
- These terms are governed by Dutch law.
- Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district of Panique Labs.
